Serengeti (January – July, 2004)

I made this homage to the Serengeti because I love elephants.  The table seats 4.  Each elephant was individually sculpted, so no two are alike:  it took me a year to make all the individual components. The family of elephants is set against a stylized African sun and sky, the green of the baobab tree, the brown of the dry savannah grass and, as everyone who has been to the Serengeti knows, the red of the earth.
